Steve's remarkable life has included being a Rhodes Scholar, combat fighter pilot, Bronze Medal recipient, test pilot of the F-18, Commanding Officer of the USS Theodore Roosevelt during Operation Desert Storm, four-star admiral and, following his 34-year naval career, Deputy Homeland Security Senior Advisor.

Steve talks about leadership (the influence of his father Admiral "Doc" Abbot and Secretary Tom Ridge), the value of perseverance (two examples of pushing past initial rejections that proved pivotal in his career and life) and how service to his country has taken on a new form and importance in the wake of Jan 6th, 2021.
